“How are you loving on yourself?”

This is a personal battle. One that I win and sometimes lose.
BELIEVING in my own validations.
When I didn’t believe in my own validations, I’d rely on affirmations. And affirmations change according to people & opinions. There is nothing wrong with opinions but they do not define you.

I allowed God to define me. And He calls me beautiful, wonderful & blessed. He has a purpose for me. And when opportunities come, I believe that I can.

This blog was birth out of belief. I had to truly believe in my ability to take the negative and turn it into a positive learning experience. I had to believe that this journey was born out of service to other women. I had to truly believe that I was worth it.
And I am.

Self care is not a trend. It is crucial; an intricate part of mental health, a vessel for emotional unpacking and sanity. Beyond the bath bombs, face masks and Instagram posts is a woman dealing with life. And that obstacle can sometimes be a frightening one.
Self care originated with the intention of not burning out. Giving your body and mind a break as you rejuvenate your spirit. “In philosophy, self-care refers to the care and cultivation of self in a comprehensive sense, focusing in particular on the soul and the knowledge of self.”

Sometimes life gets in the way of life. We often get caught up in wanting to appear ‘okay‘ but what we really need is to take a break in order to be genuinely feeling fine.
